Loveland Festival 2027 – Amsterdam, Netherlands
Overview
Loveland Festival is Amsterdam’s premier open-air house and techno festival, held in the stunning Sloterpark, the largest park in Amsterdam with over 300 acres and the glistening Sloterplas lake as its centerpiece. With a history that began in 1995 as a swim and dance event to commemorate the appreciation for house music, Loveland has grown into a two-day weekender that celebrates quality underground electronic music without compromise.
The festival takes place on the western edge of Amsterdam, in the Geuzenveld/Slotermeer area, where multiple stages are spread across the parkland with views over water, meadows and city skyline. Since day one, the driving force behind the Loveland organization has been the endless love for quality house and techno music, and that principle still guides the lineup today.
Loveland Festival is known for a well-balanced lineup that brings together global leaders, underground innovators and true Loveland veterans. Over two days, more than 75 confirmed artists from around the world perform across carefully curated stages, creating a fantasy escape with a music-loving crowd.

What Makes This Event Special
A 30-year legacy in Amsterdam: Loveland started in 1995 and celebrated its 25th anniversary edition in recent years, making it one of the longest-running house and techno festivals in the Netherlands. Few festivals can claim such continuity in the same city.
Sloterpark as a natural amphitheatre: With over 300 acres, Sloterpark is the largest park in Amsterdam and offers enough room for Loveland to reach its full potential. The stages are built around the lake, with natural shade, water views and sunset vistas that create a magical open-air experience.
Pure house and techno focus: Unlike multi-genre mega festivals, Loveland stays true to its roots. The music is focused on house, techno, melodic and underground sounds, with extended sets that allow artists to tell a real story.
Stage curation with identity: Stages like Rise, Fire and 909 each have their own musical identity. Rise became home to melodic sounds of Dixon, Agents of Time, Solomun and Tale Of Us, while Fire and 909 hosted heavy-hitting techno from Enrico Sangiuliano, Pan-Pot, Adam Beyer, Ellen Allien and Chris Liebing.
Sustainability and comfort: Loveland van Oranje events showed the organization’s attention to weather-proofing, with fully equipped tents and shelters providing comfortable experiences. The same care applies to Loveland Festival with solid infrastructure, quality food and clean facilities.
Amsterdam dance culture hub: Loveland also hosts iconic events during Amsterdam Dance Event and Kingsday, including Loveland van Oranje in Meerpark and Loveland ADE, making it a year-round pillar of Amsterdam’s electronic music scene.

In its early years, Loveland was a single-day event. For the first time, it morphed into a two-day festival to meet growing demand, bringing some of the most exciting names from the worlds of house and techno to Amsterdam, including Marco Carola, Eric Prydz’s alter ego Cirez D, Jeff Mills, Tale Of Us, ANNA, Gerd Janson, Tini, Apollonia, Sam Paganini, Dixon, DJ Tennis, Len Faki and Hernan Cattaneo.

The anniversary edition returned after a tough two-year hiatus, showing resilience and loyalty from its community.
Throughout its history, Loveland has expanded into other iconic Amsterdam events such as Loveland van Oranje on Kingsday in Meerpark, Loveland ADE during Amsterdam Dance Event, Loveland Queensday in Oosterpark and Loveland 909 events. Each shares the same guiding principle: endless love for quality house and techno.

Attendee Experiences
From a long-time visitor: I have been going since 2008 when it was still a one-day event. What I love is that Loveland never chased trends. It stayed true to house and techno, and Sloterpark gives it a relaxed, almost local festival feel despite the huge names.
From an international guest: We came from London for the 25th anniversary. Seeing Solomun at sunset over Sloterplas lake, then Jeff Mills closing the 909 stage, was unforgettable. The crowd was diverse and friendly, with people of all ages dancing together.
From a first-timer: I did not know Amsterdam had such a big park. The stages around the lake made it feel like a getaway from the city, even though you are still in Amsterdam. Food was great, sound was excellent and we could easily hop between stages.
From a local: As someone living in Amsterdam West, Loveland is our neighborhood festival. We bike there in 10 minutes, dance all day, and bike home. The organization is professional, with good facilities and no overcrowding.
