Event History
Don’t Let Daddy Know was founded as a small underground concept in Ibiza, inspired by the idea of a secret party where parents didn’t know what was happening. The concept quickly grew due to its focus on big-room and progressive house at a time when EDM was exploding globally.
The first Amsterdam edition took place in 2012, and the event soon moved to Ziggo Dome due to demand. By 2016, regular tickets cost 57 euros and the lineup featured Steve Angello, Blasterjaxx, DANNIC, Don Diablo, R3hab and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, showing the shift towards global headliners.
In 2017, DLDK celebrated its 5-year anniversary with two days of madness at the Ziggo Dome on March 3 and 4, with a full lineup including Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Blasterjaxx, DANNIC, Don Diablo, Headhunterz, Mike Williams, Nicky Romero, Sem Vox, Showtek, Third Party, Ummet Ozcan, W&W and Asonn.
The brand expanded internationally to countries including Poland, Romania, Thailand and Chile, while Amsterdam remained the flagship. In 2019, the event moved briefly to RAI Amsterdam for one edition due to scheduling.
The ten-year anniversary edition in 2024 was a sold-out spectacular that set a new attendance record. In 2025, DLDK Amsterdam returned on March 1 with Axwell, W&W, Ben Nicky, Showtek and others, with tickets starting at just 52.50 euros excluding fee via amsterdam.dldk.com. After a spectacular 2026 edition, the 13th edition was announced for 2027, continuing the tradition of early spring indoor mayhem.

Attendee Experiences
From a 10-year anniversary visitor: DLDK Amsterdam 2024 was my fifth time. The production was insane, with lasers covering the entire dome and pyro synced to every drop. Seeing Axwell and W&W back-to-back in Ziggo Dome with 17,000 people singing is something you never forget.
From an international fan: I flew from the UK for DLDK. The crowd was truly international, with flags from over 50 countries. The vibe is welcoming, everyone is there for big-room anthems, and the sound in Ziggo Dome is perfect for this music.
From a local: As someone from Amsterdam, DLDK is our start of the festival season. It is indoor, so no worries about Dutch weather in March, and the lineup always delivers names you normally only see at Tomorrowland or Ultra. The organization with EventTravel buses makes it easy for friends from other cities to join.
From a first-timer: I did not know what to expect from a single-night indoor festival, but DLDK proved you do not need three days to have a full festival experience. Eight hours non-stop with Showtek, Third Party b2b Matisse and Sadko and Rebelion was more than enough. The aftermovie captured it perfectly.
